Deacon Chairman
Deacon Charlie A. Young, Jr. is a faithful member of Peter’s Rock Family Worship Center who has served as a deacon for over 50 years. He has served under the leadership of multiple pastors and was ordained as Chairman of the Deacons in 1996 by Pastor Joseph Hawkins. In his leadership, he has established deacon and security schedules and helped coordinate security training in partnership with the Starkville Police Department. Married to Missionary Cheryl Young for 51 years, he is the proud father of four children and grandfather of three. He loves God and continues to serve faithfully as Chairman of the Deacons.

Assistant Deacon
Deacon Lawrence Moore, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is a dedicated member of Peter’s Rock Family Worship Center who later made Starkville, Mississippi his home. He serves faithfully in multiple capacities, including the Deacon Board, Men’s Ministry, and the church’s Think Tank Committee. He also serves as Assistant to the Head of Security, provides personal security for Pastor Hawkins, and supports ministry needs wherever his skills are needed. Alongside his wife, Dr. Helen P. Moore, he helped establish the Wednesday Bible Fellowship for seniors in the community. Deacon Moore is committed to serving God and advancing the Kingdom through faithful and willing service.
